Salvador Mollys Catering & Events Changes Name to Vibrant Table
To acknowledge its broader reach of clientele and expanded services, Salvador Mollys Catering & Events, long affiliated with Salvador Mollys Restaurant, will be called Salvador Mollys Vibrant Table Catering & Events.
The name change, already in play among staff and close partnerships, will be officially effective June 2007. The catering and events business, which serves such Portland area venues as the Portland Art Museum, The Treasury Ballroom, Portland City Hall, Rex Hill Vineyards and many other local businesses and organizations, evolved its menu offerings and services over the past several years and now includes décor, floral and entertainment.
The separate identity will afford the company the opportunity to grow their menu, which, with the recent hiring of Executive Chef J. Steven Brockman, who has relocated to Portland from Connecticut, will include more regional ingredients and dishes that take advantage of local vendors and seasonal produce.
“The catering and events portion of the business had realized such tremendous growth over the past several years, we saw the need to redefine ourselves and give ourselves a name that encompasses our entire range of services; tells the whole story,” says company president Art Fortuna.
The catering business has enjoyed a long, productive era in association with founder Rick Sadle. Although it is now a distinct business entity, it will continue operating from its original business base.
In concert with the name change, Vibrant Table Catering & Events has hired a design and marketing team to update their website, image and business collateral. Their new image has been updated to reflect their more diverse audiences, from gala fundraisers to weddings, local smaller groups and businesses and the venues and customers they hope to obtain.
New signage is scheduled for installation on their building, which houses Mollys Loft, in Southeast Portland. Their new website address is www.vibranttable.com.
