Sustainable policies
Environmental stewardship is an important part of the VIBRANT TABLE philosophy, and we do everything we can to operate clean and green, including:
- Composting food scraps and organic debris from our in-house floral department
- Supporting local and sustainable farms and ranches
- Using non-disposable china, glassware, flatware and linens wherever possible
- Using compostable and biodegradable disposable tableware and packaging whenever possible
- Creating menus designed to reduce food waste
- Donating leftover food to local relief organizations
- Reducing paper waste by performing administrative functions electronically whenever possible
- Recycling event and office waste
- Using recycled-content office supplies
- Using rechargeable batteries in décor items
In recognition of our achievements, the Portland Bureau of Planning and Sustainability awarded VIBRANT TABLE with the RecycleWorks Award in April 2008.
