Looking for an event facility that embodies the very cultural soul of Portland? Portland Center Stage is located at the Gerding Theater at The Armory -- a building which, since 1891, has served Portland as military headquarters, opera house, movie theater, public hall, sports arena, political grandstand and, of course, a home to Portland's vibrant theater community. Portland Center Stage has successfully taken this structure of rich, historical significance and wrapped it in a package that represents modern Portland -- contemporary yet funky, dramatic yet sustainable. The Gerding Theater boasts a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Platinum rating, the highest recognition given by the U.S. Green Building Council.

 

Portland Center Stage offers multiple areas that can be used for events: three lobbies, an auditorium, a studio theater, a reception hall and mezzanine. Skylights provide natural light during daytime events while modern fixtures enhance the drama for evening events. Couches and tuffets are scattered throughout the lobbies and mezzanine providing comfortable, yet elegant nooks for your guests to gather. With such inherent style, minimal additional decor is needed, if any, and we strongly recommend viewing our Image Gallery for an idea of the magic The Gerding Theater will bring to your event. Additional features include bar, coat check, lighting, and audio-visual systems.

Consider forest mushroom cappucinio followed by roasted beet salad and cedar-planked salmon or herb-crusted rack of lamb.
